Asus put out a press release yesterday that proudly pointed out that its new 10-inch 1005HA “Seashell” netbook has already reached top seller satus on Amazon. Coincidentally, we put up an Asus Eee PC 1005HA Review yesterday. It’s no big surprise though, considering that this is the follow-up on the already popular and well-received 1000HE mini laptop computer lineup, which has done well in reviews across the web.
The 1005HA is a relatively big step up from the predecessor, thanks to a 6-cell battery in the standard configuration that gives the laptop a batter life of more than a full work day. According to Asus’ own estimates, you should be able to get 10.5 hours out of the 6-cell which isn’t that far from the truth actually.
Another pleasant addition in the 1005 is the new “Seashell” design, which has a new and improved keyboard at almost full size and an overall much more attractive, slim look than the earlier models in the 1000 series.
